Reaching me

January 19, 2012

Please note that Amy Drouet Photography is experiencing some technical difficulties this week, particularly with email. I’m hoping to have all of these issues resolved tomorrow and will be catching up on all emails as soon as I can. If you have an urgent question, you can reach me at 504-858-5002.

Thanks for understanding!

The last time I saw this lovely family little Elias was just about to be born. Now he’s a little man of almost one year old and already on the go go go. And big brother Shi is still a funny little firecracker, who clearly adores his baby brother.

I just love the look on Elias’ face in that last one! It was great to see you again G family – and best of luck on the rest of the season and the post-season!

I love these kids… big brother Christian is my son Dylan’s best buddy. They tear around like crazy stunt men on their bikes, fight, and then play some more. And I love it – that’s exactly what 5 years should do! And little bro Connor is the sweetest, happiest baby you’ve ever met. He just chills contently among all the craziness of the older boys.

Landon was a handsome little model at his session. Look at those cheeks! I just love it.

Also check out Landon’s bonus sneak peek on the Facebook page…

Little Linden was already 6 weeks old for his newborn session, but born several weeks early so he was still a peanut for his session. Now normally I don’t expect any baby over 2 weeks old to sleep really soundly for a session and let me do a lot of poses, but Linden was a posing, sleeping champ!  (For one of my favorite shots of him, check out the Facebook page.)

Sweet, funny, handsome little Aaron wasn’t too sure that he wanted to be a supermodel. But he did give us lots of funny faces and kept us laughing!

I was so glad that the weather and the light held out long enough for us to finish our session in on a dreary Saturday afternoon.  Nia, Mike and Jayden are all bursting with excitement to meet the newest member of their family - and it won’t be long now!

Congrats you guys!

Starla was such a sweet and dainty little model, just a peanut of a baby girl! She loved being wrapped up, but after a good feeding was happy to pose for us too.

Want to see Starla’s pretty eyes? Check out our Facebook page for a bonus sneak peek!

This was my first session with Mia and Dominic, but they are clearly old pros in front of the camera. We met up on a cold drizzly afternoon, but these kids were like a ray of sunshine. They did everything we asked and didn’t complain even once! Of course it helps that I already love these kids… they’re second cousins to my boys!

I was so excited to see this family again! It’s been a few years so I was thrilled that they were willing to drive in from Mississippi for a New Orleans session. Caroline and Will have gotten so grown-up and mature… and little Sam was practically a baby the last time I saw him. Now he’s a big kid too!
