HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

October 31, 2010

I’m greatly looking forward to taking one little dragon and one little cowboy out trick-or-treating tonight. I hope everyone out there has a FUNSAFE and very SPOOKY Halloween as well!

(And yes, sadly, these are the only Halloween-ish photos I have to share at the moment. We’re carving our big pumpkin this afternoon and I’ll photograph the boys in their costumes before we head out tonight.  In the meantime, these were the PERFECT little Halloween art project for the boys. They loved it and there was virtually NO MESS! Gotta love that. We had three of these little pie pumpkins and no real plans for them – until I got this idea from Logan’s preschool. I immediately ran to Michael’s and picked up buckets of cute foam stickers. The Halloween stickers were pretty much sold out already, so ours mostly have a fall theme.) ;)

This is one maternity session that almost became a newborn session! Baby S had mom and dad a tad bit worried when he or she seemed intent on being born the night before the maternity session. But in the end baby decided to stay safely tucked away a little bit longer, allowing us to get these sweet maternity images.

I’m not going to lie to you blog readers… little Cole had me worried. Just a little worried, but still… worried. You see little Cole wanted nothing to do with awake pictures. Now that’s okay. I can roll with that. These little people are really the boss you know. But you see little Cole also wanted nothing to do with sleeping. Hmmm, now that’s a problem. But with a lot of patience and persistance mom, dad and I finally got him into a good sleep and were able to get lots of great shots in before he decided he was done with us. :)

Here are just a few of them:

And if you’re a facebook fan you may have already seen this one. I’m loving my new fleur-de-lis hat!

So much adorable-ness and so little time! Seriously, Samuel was so so good. I was a bit worried at first when he seemed WIDE awake, but he eventually gave in to those sweet baby dreams and let us get those squishy baby shots I was after. In the end we were done in record time – just about 2 hours start to finish!

Those curls! Those eyes! Those cheeks!

Little Genevieve just gets cuter and cuter and I’m so glad I’ll get to watch her grow throughout her first year. She was such a trooper too as we traipsed through the park and gave her wardrobe a workout. :)

If I have time I’ll come back to share some of the family shots as well, but I definitely wanted to showcase the littlest participants in my Christmas in October mini sessions.

First up, little miss Pearl. Can you believe she’s only 4 months old and already sitting so well? I was amazed!

Next was my little friend Cooper. He’s such a sweet little guy and thosse blue eyes are just gorgeous!

And spunky little Reid. He doesn’t stay still for long! But we finally got him. :)

And my last session of the day, little Blake. Last time I saw him was in the Quarter too, but he was just barely sitting then. Now he’s a big guy on the go.

What a happy, smiley girl! Miss Eloise was full of fun and cute games of peek-a-boo for her 6 month session. And what a gorgeous day in the park.  Perfect all around!

I can hardly believe that sweet Campbell is already halfway through her first year plan! So I can only imagine how her mom and dad must feel. Campbell made us work for every little smile we got, but that’s okay because I love the serious ones with those big brown eyes too!

Now you may have noticed that this post doesn’t have “Sneak Peek” in the title. That’s because Luke’s mom already has her images. And chances are if you follow me on facebook, you’ve already seen some images of Luke, so I picked a few different pictures for this post. Luke was just too cute and too good to me to not blog. :)
