Archive for March, 2011

Meet Jaxon. Jaxon arrived in the world at a very healthy 9+ lbs so mom and dad asked to do his newborns pictures as soon as possible to capture him at his itty-bitty-est. (You like my made-up word, right?) It worked out perfectly too. Jaxon protested sleeping at first, but after a short while he snoozed like a champ. And all that baby pudgyness is just too too cute.

Sweet Molly Grace was bound and determined to stay awake for her newborn session, despite all of our best efforts. But in the end even Molly Grace had to take a quick 20 minute cat nap… and look what we got. Some of my favorite newborn images!

You may notice that the title of this post doesn’t say sneak peek.

There’s two reasons for that. First, this post is late… Very late actually. So late in fact that I have the E family’s session ready to be released.

The second reason is that I think I’m dropping the “sneak peek” verbiage from the post titles across the board. Who needs the extra words anyway?

The E family was in town for a family vacation and decided to get some pictures taken while they were all together. Great idea! It’s not often that I photograph a group of just adults, but it was nice to not have to chase anyone around for a change. ;)

A reminder: Availability

March 21, 2011

Just a reminder to all of those interested in scheduling sessions…  with April showers comes the start of my busy season. What little remains of March is mostly booked up except for a few weekday openings. April weekends are almost completely booked up, although I do still have good availbility for weekday sessions and particularly newborns due in April. May and June are now starting to book as well.

All of this is simply to say that if you are looking to do a session in the near future, and particularly if you are trying to hit a specific milestone, please contact me as soon as possible for availability and to secure your date.

And on a more fun note, a quick picture from my recent camping expedition with my husband and sons:

Camping overnight with an almost-3-year-old and a 4-year-old is, well, interesting. But we survived. Bug bites and all :)

The M triplets are back! And Cole, Lee and Scott and as cute as ever. Scott was the ham of the group, totally content and happy to give me the silliest expressions. Lee was  more reserved, gracing me with soulful crystal blue eyes and an occasional smile. And Cole… Cole was the serious one, not quite sure what to think of this whole photography thing. And then there was big sister Ellie, who clearly adores helping with her little brothers. But I’ll just let you see for yourself:

Sweet little Parker was seven weeks old for his session – his big blue eyes alert and taking everything in. He started out our session calm and content, but as sleepiness started to take over he craved holding and cuddling from his mom and dad, until finally falling asleep for a little nap.

The last time I saw the C family, Milo was just a little guy, maybe 1 year old or so? Now he’s a much bigger little guy and a big brother to boot! Little brother Dean arrived just a couple months ago, and boy is he sweet. Just a content little guy, happy to look around and take in all of his brother’s antics. This session was a true family affair too as Milo and Dean also brought along their gorgeous older cousins for some pictures as well – and the all important picture of all four cousins together of course!
